Witches and Wizards: Practitioners of witchcraft, persons with magical powers, or exceptional / extraordinary abilities. The term witch is used to reference a female with such powers, whilst the term wizard is used to denote the male version of a witch. Mythlogically speaking, witches and wizards are often deemed supernatural creatures. Historically, many people have been accused of witchcraft, or have claimed to be witches or wizards. The term "witchcraft" has been known to be comprised of positive and negative connotations depending on the cultural context in which it is used: In post-Christian European cultures it has historically been associated with evil and the Devil, while most contemporary people who self-identify themselves as being a witch or a wizard see the practice as beneficent and morally positive.
