Muggle: Muggle is a term used often in the Harry Potter series and refers to a person who is a member of the non-magical community. In other words, Muggles are ordinary people who show absolutely no sign of magical talent. Throughout the Harry Potter series, Muggles are often portrayed as foolish and befuddled characters who appear completely ignorant of the wizarding world around them. If by some unfortunate circumstance a Muggle should be privy to the presence of magic, the Ministry of Magic places a Memory Charm upon them to rid their mind of the incident.
