About Bre Henson

Hi my name is Bre Henson, and I’m a writer, poet, musician, singer, avid reader, martial artist, and a huge fiction fan! I discovered my love of writing at an early age; I was 10 when I started my first writing project, and before that I tried my hand at poetry a few times I started writing fan fiction after I got into Harry Potter (one of the best series out there!!! Go Harry!); the reason being that I was keeping myself awake at night by living out stories in my imagination. I find that I do that with a lot of stories; can you blame me though? It’s a very fun thing to do.

I find that I’m constantly reading, or writing something, and if I go too long without reading, I go through withdrawals. It’s true; I start to feel empty, and a bit sad.

My poetry is usually written when I get inspired, or when things are getting emotionally rough. I write stories when I come up with an idea, or a character that just grabs me, and says, “Bre; you’re writing my story, no ifs, ands, or buts.” If I had to pick a favorite part of writing, it would be the characters; I love to make up new people, their story, how they look; I love everything involved with them really. I came up with the idea of Monica Greyback when I was trying to come up with a story about The Order of the Phoenix, and she just sort of appearated in to my head.

So I wrote the first chapter, and my beta, Brittle_Heart, and I probably revised it a billion times trying to get it on another website. Finally after another e-mail that said I needed to edit it once again, I started searching for a new fan fiction site, and I was extremely lucky to find Fantasy Fic World. This website has been the best thing to ever happen to my writing, and I’m glad to have found it, and to have made a friend with the super-nice founder; Nicole. Encouraged by her acceptation of my story, and her wonderful reviews, I wrote more, and more, and now here I am! Rest assured my writing isn’t going to stop; I plan on writing from here through the rest of eternity.

Last but definitely not least, I’d like to give thanks to some extraordinary people.
